Pastor Charles D. Shorter, Sr. received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Saviour in 1980 at the Bible Baptist Church, Claymont, DE. He was called into the ministry in 1986.  In August 1988, he and his wife, Joyce packed up their children moved to Missouri and  enrolled in Baptist Bible College, of Springfield.  While there, they attended the Berean Baptist Church, where Leon Gray was their pastor.   They both graduated in 1992.  After graduation, Pastor Shorter felt the need for additional training. He enrolled in Baptist Bible Graduate School of Theology, graduating with a Masters in Biblical Studies. He was called to pastor the New Testament Baptist Church, of Pemberton, New Jersey, in May of 1996. He is still serving in this capacity today.  In addition to pastoring, he has taught for six years at theLehigh Valley Baptist Bible Institute. Pastor Shorter and Joyce have four children, Charles Jr., Eric, Thomas and Christian Joy.   Pastor Shorter and his family hope that the ministry of New Testament Baptist Church can have a lasting impact on the Ft. Dix / McGuire AFB and Burlington County area.
